Ever since Duck Hodges proposed to Lainey Wilson on the steps of George Jones' former house, fans have been wondering if maybe the couple purchased the property. The answer to that is no. Lainey is a big fan of George Jones and she had been wanting to see the house for awhile. At the time of the proposal, the home was up for sale again and that was how Duck had the opportunity to make her dream come true. "We've been trying to see (the house) for awhile and one of Duck's buddies was listing it for sale and he had it all staged," Lainey shares. Her manager was supposed to meet them there, but when they arrived, they were alone and the stage was set for the perfect proposal.
On Monday, Eric Church announced the release of his new single, "Hands of Time." The song was supposed to come out at midnight on Thursday, but it wound up getting leaked a little early. Eric still had one more secret to share. He's got a new album on the way. Evangeline vs. the Machine will be released on May 2nd. The project features 8 tracks, split in Side A and Side B.
Morgan Wallen fans are celebrating today. He has just announced that his next album, I'm The Problem, will be released on May 16th. Morgan has been teasing big news about his next project over the past couple of weeks. He will also be the musical guest on SNL March 29th. This will be Morgan's second time on the show. Actor Mikey Madison will be the host.
Luke Bryan made a stop at a gas station during a fishing trip with his son Tate. He is used to getting recognized and asked for autographs, so it wasn't a surprise when a man approached him. It was what the man said next that caught Luke completely off guard. "Man God dude, you look just like Blake Shelton," Luke says in a video about the moment. "You're not Blake Shelton, are you?" The best part of the exchange was when the man turned to Luke and said, "Could you imagine what it would be like to have Blake Shelton's money?" As a matter of fact he can, Luke lands at number 3 on a Billboard list of the 20 Top-Grossing Country Artists of all time.
Kelsea Ballerini has been experiencing some bumps in the road on her first-ever headlining tour. She has already had to reschedule a number of shows because of illness, and now she has quietly cancelled her stop in Las Vegas on March 28th. No reason was given for the cancellation. Kelsea did reply with an apology to one fan on her social media. The comment has since been deleted. The Live on Tour trek will wrap up April 9th in Charleston, South Carolina. Kelsea has also been juggling the tour and her first time coaching on Season 27 of The Voice.
Ed Sheeran spent the weekend in Nashville. He took to the stage at Tootsie's on Broadway for a surprise performance where he played some of his biggest hits for the crowd. Ed also made an appearance at the Bluebird Cafe on Sunday night, joining Megan Moroney and other talented songwriters for an unforgettable moment in NashVegas.
