It's been a hard few weeks for Thomas Rhett and his family. They had to say goodbye to their second dog Kona.

In mid-October they lost their dog Cash. Thomas shared a loving tribute to Kona on social media, saying that it's been a "tough dog month for our family." 

"I think after Cash passed she just wanted to go be with him," he wrote. "It's weird losing a dog, because whether you know it or not they are always just there, always by your side at the dinner table." 

Thomas says he has found some comfort in listening to Hardy's song "Dog Years."
