The Band Perry are officially relaunching their country music career.
The trio has signed a new label deal with Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment, a division of Big Machine Label Group. However, the sibling band does look a little different this time around. Neil Perry was not named in the deal announcement. It looks like The Band Perry will include Kimberly Perry, her brother Reid and her husband Johnny Costello. The group first got their start with the release of their debut single, "Hip to My Heart," in 2009 but it wasn't until their follow-up single, "If I Die Young," that they got their big break. The Band Perry parted ways with Big Machine in 2016 and tried to transition into pop music but they never saw the success they had with country music. The group never officially broke up. In 2023, they announced that they were going on hiatus to pursue individual projects. The new Band Perry started off with a few small performances earlier this year and officially relaunched with a set at CMA Fest.
