Opening on July 23rd at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward, will take fans on a tour of Kenny's life and career.
The exhibit will feature a number of artifacts from his life, including instruments, awards, photographs, stage-worn clothing and personal memorabilia. Some of the highlights are his Gibbs High School football jersey and varsity jacket, as well as the Fender Concord acoustic guitar he played during his college years at East Tennessee State University and after moving to Nashville. The guitar has signatures from several artists and songwriters, including Dean Dillon, Harlan Howard and Porter Wagoner. Visitors will also get to see the weathered wicker chair that inspired his song "Old Blue Chair." Also on display, a life-size replica of a 235 pound blue marlin Kenny caught in 2003 and nicknamed "Marley" after Bob Marley. It became a fixture at Kenny's tours and was famously recovered after being swept away during the 2010 Nashville flood. The exhibit will be open until June 2027.
