Lauren Alaina is dealing with another loss in her family...her father J.J. Suddeth died on Tuesday night. Lauren lost her stepfather Sam Ranker in October of 2018 after a battle with cancer. No details about her dad's death were available, and it's not clear if he was battling any illness at the time. In the past, Lauren has been very open about her father's struggles with alcohol and the role it played in her parents breaking up. Most recently she paid tribute to him on Father's Day with an Instagram post that featured pictures from her wedding day. Lauren has cancelled three shows this weekend so she can be with family.
