When 48-year-old LeGrand Gold received the bad news that his cancer was Stage 4, he decided to create a bucket list that he is calling "LG's List of Living." One of his dreams was to meet Dolly Parton. That dream came true on December 22nd when she called him. LG's wife recorded the moment and shared it on his YouTube channel. "Hey LG, it's Dolly P! Dolly joked. "I've heard you've been a fan of mine of many years, and I just wanted to thank you for that. I really thank you for shooting out the word you'd like to talk with me. I'm just happy that we got to have our journey together in this lifetime. I always wanna make people happy with my music, and with the things I do and the things I say. I'm just happy to know that I've touched your life in some way. So thank you for honouring me with that." At the end of the call, she sang some of her hit song "I Will Always Love you," adding LG's name into the lyrics.
Laura Lynch, one of the founding members of the band formerly known as The Dixie Chicks, has died at the age of 65. According to her cousin, she died following a car accident in West Texas on December 22nd. Laura co-founded the Dixie Chicks in 1989 with sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer, as well as Robin Lynn Macy. They were co-lead vocalists for the group on their first two albums, 1990's Thanks Heavens For Dale Evans and 1992's Little Ol' Cowgirl. Robin Lynn Macy left the band in 1993, so Laura Lynch handled all of the lead vocals for their third album, Shouldn't a Told You That. Natalie Maines joined Emily and Martie when Laura left the group. The new trio released their first album, Wide Open Spaces, in 1998. They shortened their name to The Chicks in 2020.
Congratulations to Kane and Katelyn Brown who are expecting baby number three! The couple announced the news in a social media post on Christmas Day. The post was a Christmas-themed photo showing the Kane and Katelyn cuddled up with their two daughters, Kingsley Rose and Kodi Jane, on a coach with their Christmas tree in the background. Kingsley is holding up a sonogram of the new baby. "Last Christmas of 4," Kane wrote in the caption. "Merry Christmas everyone!!" He didn't share any more details about the new baby.

I was the tape copy guy and they kept a lot of her merchandise in that same building. I used to go in there and get T-shirts and steal sweatshirts and stuff. She had two albums in there and I stole one of her Christmas albums. I have held onto that Christmas album that I stole and that's become my Christmas tradition is that stolen Anne Murray Christmas album. It warms my heart each year."
