Jelly Roll is seeing success with his weight loss journey. He has lost more than 70 pounds and is feeling great. "I feel really good," he says to People. "I was thinking I plan on losing another 100, 100 and something pounds. If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I'm going to feel like by the time I go on tour." Jelly Roll has been getting help from Dana White's fitness advisor Gary Brecka. "I've been really kicking ass, man. I'm doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I'm doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I'm eating healthy right now," he explains. Jelly Roll will kick off his Beautifully Broken Tour on August 27th in Salt Lake City.
Jelly Roll is being sued for alleged trademark infringement over his stage name. According to Rolling Stone, Kurt L. Titchenell has filed a suit against Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord. Titchenell is the leader of a Pennsylvania-based dance band called Jellyroll. He says they've used that name since March 1980. The band received a trademark in 2010, and renewed it in 2019. The lawsuit alleges that since Jelly Roll's "recent rise in notoriety" search engines have prioritized his results over the band's, injuring their online exposure. Titchenell is seeking injunctive relief for service mark infringement, false designation of origin and/or sponsorship, dilution, common law palming off, trademark and trade name infringement and unfair competition, and injury to business reputation and dilution. Jelly Roll was sent a cease-and-desist letter in February 2024. That was followed by discussions between the parties' lawyers. Jelly Roll has not commented publicly on the suit.

Walker Hayes is celebrating eight years of sobriety with a new album and tour. The new project, Sober Thoughts, will share some of his most personal struggles. "I've been sober for 8 years," says Walker. "During that time, I've gone through countless ups and downs, and I'm always proud to share songs that celebrate the highs, and make people feel less alone in the lows. We're all in this together, and that's what this project, and this tour, are all about." His new headlining tour, the Same Drunk Tour, will hit 29 cities throughout the summer.
