Morgan Wallen leads the male nominees at this year's Billboard Music Awards with 17 nominations. He will also be performing at the show on Sunday. But his performance won't happen at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas where the show is being held. Morgan's recent performance at Truist Park in Atlanta will be streamed into the awards show. Morgan sang his song "98 Braves" at the home of the Atlanta Braves on November 10th and 11th and they were apparently recorded to air during the Billboard Music Awards. The show airs Sunday on NBC.
June Carter Cash's story is being told in a new documentary, June, coming to Paramount+ on January 16th. "This film offers a great opportunity to realize that June was a star of television and music from an early age - decades before she became Mrs. Johnny Cash," her daughter Carlene Carter says. "While some may not be fully aware of her many talents, influence, and just how much she mattered as an entertainer, this lovely documentary offers clear insight for everyone to see the true character and the joy she shared."

Jelly Roll dropped and shattered his New Artist of the Year award backstage at the CMA Awards. He will get a new one. The trophies used backstage are generic ones and his actual award will be sent to him later.
One of the biggest performances at the CMA Awards was the Hardy, Morgan Wallen and Post Malone tribute to Joe Diffie. They played two of his biggest hits - "John Deere Green" and "Pickup Man." On the heels of that performance, Hardy announced that his forthcoming Hixtape Vol. 3 will be a tribute to Joe Diffie. The album won't be just straight covers. "You guys are familiar with my Hixtape thing," Hardy told the press backstage at the CMA Awards. "So by the grace of God, Hixtape Vol. 3 is going to be a little bit different...we have gotten ahold of all of Joe Diffie's recordings from the 90's, the actual sessions themselves. What we have basically done with Hixtape, is we have taken some of Joe's vocals out and added some of the biggest singers in country music to help him out." Hardy hasn't shared the full list of collaborators for the new project. Hixtape Vol. 3 arrives March 29th.
Jelly Roll went out of his way to make sure that Wynonna Judd joined him onstage at the CMA Awards. When he first asked her to perform "Need A Favor" with him, she turned him down because she had a show in Texas the following night. Jelly Roll wasn't going to take no for an answer, so he got a private plane to make sure Wynonna could be there. She says that she looked unstable at times and was holding his arm for support during the performance because she was so nervous. "I got out there and I was so nervous, I just held on for dear life," Wynonna said. "And that's the bottom line."
Members of Shania Twain's concert production crew were involved in a bus crash on an icy highway in Saskatchewan. Shania was not on the bus. Her management company, Maverick, says in a statement that the bus and a truck from her tour were in the collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Wolseley. They were driving from a show in Winnipeg to Saskatoon. Firefighters had to use an emergency hatch in the roof to free 13 people stuck inside the bus when it rolled on its side. People were taken to the hospital but none of their injuries were considered life-threatening.
