Reba McEntire is teaming up with NBC for a new comedy series. It revolves around her character "who inherits her father's restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had." Reba will be working with writer Kevin Abbott, whose credits include Last Man Standing, Roseanne and The Golden Girls. Former Reba executive producers Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis will also join her on the new NBC comedy series.
Luke Combs shared the name of his new Nashville bar on Monday night. It's going to called Category 10. "I'm so excited about that," he says in a video posted on social media. "Obviously, as you guys know, the strongest a hurricane can be is Category 5, so we figured we'd double it and make it Category 10. It's gonna be an awesome honky tonk. Downtown Nashville. Food. Spirits. You know, you name it. Whatever you want, we're gonna have it. It's gonna be so much fun. I can't wait for this thing to open. I can't wait to see you guys there." Category 10 will be located in the building where the Wildhorse Saloon was. The complex will be 69,000 square feet and able to hold almost 3200 customers. It will also feature an area called "The Still", which will feature performances from up-and-coming songwriters.
Nate Smith's "World On Fire" has just earned its seventh week at number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. That means it has now tied with Kenny Chesney's "The Good Stuff" and "There Goes My Life," Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying," Luke Combs' "Beautiful Crazy" and Darryl Worley's "Have You Forgotten?" for the third-most weeks at number one on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. Nate shared his thanks on social media. "'World On Fire' has gone seven weeks...I went from 14 dollars in my bank account to a seven-week number one," he said with a smile. "Thank you, everybody, so much for believing in me since day one. Thank you country radio, thank you fans, thank you, everyone. This is one of the best days of my life, thank you!"

Morgan Wallen surprised his fans on Friday when he released a re-recording of one of his older tracks, "Spin You Around." He explained everything in a post on social media. This is what Morgan wrote...

"I'm writing y'all from a duck hunting trip because I want to fill you in on something happening tonight.

Back in 2014, I went to Florida to try my hand at making original music & songwriting for the first time. This led to a recording deal with a local investor & an artist management deal that I deeply regret. Unfortunately, I signed both deals without any legal representation. We made 13 songs. Some were ok, most were terrible as I was just learning how to write in general & figuring it all out. I was not the only collaborator, so many of these songs were not my idea nor to my standards. We deemed 5 worthy-enough to make the Stand Alone EP which includes a fan-favorite, "Spin You Around."

Tonight, those colleagues I parted ways with almost 10 years ago plan to release a "10th Anniversary" edition of Stand Alone against my wishes & include 8 unreleased songs, distributing it with the assistance of my former managers. For months I've been exploring every avenue possible to acquire the rights to this old music & keep the quality of my catalog consistent with songs I choose to release & believe in.

It's gross, greedy & an example of how the dark side of the music business can suck the soul out of artists

I want you to know this is NOT my new music & I don't want to see this happen to anyone else. I cringe when I listen to these songs & I'm concerned my fans may mistakenly believe this is a new release by me. I begin recording my next project at the end of February. I'm feeling inspired creatively & super excited to make more music I'm proud of.

In response:

1. I re-recorded "Spin You Around (1/24)" this week in Nashville & it comes out TONIGHT. Thank you Joey Moi & Bryan Sutton. I did the artwork myself while in the woods duck hunting. Hope you like it, lol.

2. I am donating $100k from the Morgan Wallen Foundation to the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals For The Arts (VLPA) program. I hope young aspiring musicians read this story & know they should never have to give up their creative freedoms for an opportunity in this business.

3. Trust me, when new music is ready, you'll hear it directly from me."

After the success of their collaboration, "Thank God," Kane and Katelyn Brown are teaming up for another song. They shared a clip of the new track on Instagram over the weekend. "Who's ready for this new music," Kane wrote on the post. No details were available about the release of the song.
Jelly Roll's wife, Bunnie XO, has announced plans to release a tell-all book in 2025. She will detail the story of her life, including her relationship with her husband. "The idea for the book came about because I want every person who doesn't think they can break free from where they're at in life to know they can," says Bunnie. "No one knows my life story except for what I reveal on the podcast, and I'm asked daily where people can find out more about my life story." The plan is to start writing the book in March. Bunnie XO promised that it will be available sometime in 2025.
Chris Young has been cleared of all charges against him after an incident last week at a bar in Nashville. He was charged with disorderly conduct, assaulting an officer and resisting arrest after an incident involving at TABC agent at the Dawg House on January 22nd. They were conducting compliance checks in the area at the time. His lawyer had called for a total dismissal and an apology after video surfaced that showed Chris being shoved to the ground by a TABC agent after he held an arm out in front of one of the agents. Chris fell back into the bar, before falling onto some chairs.
Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have teamed up to relaunch Field & Stream, the outdoor lifestyle brand that dates back to 1871. In a new video on their social media, you see the two country stars showing their passion for the outdoors and storytelling. The relaunch includes an updated digital platform, a limited-edition apparel collection inspired by Eric and Morgan, and the announcement of an outdoor music festival coming this fall.
