The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has announced their All the Good Times farewell tour. It will kick of March 21st and work its way across the U.S. It is scheduled to wrap up September 14th, however a press release says that further dates will be announced later. "All The Good Times perfectly describes our career," the band said in a statement. "Playing our music for Dirt Band fans all over the world has been an incredible experience for us. The most important part of that has been the connection to our audience - that beautiful communal give and take is like nothing else. That's the very spirit we'll be celebrating as we head into our farewell tour. We're really looking forward to seeing you folks. Good times will be had by all!"
It was a snow day in Nashville on Monday. Kane Brown was just one of many country artists were out playing with their kids in the snow. However, he also decided to help people who still had to make their way into work. "Kane went to the gas station this morning and has been seeing people working," his wife Katelyn shared on her Instagram Story. "So, he's giving them rides home from work. He gave them his number and told them to call whenever they got off work." Kane knew his vehicle was able to get through the snow. "So currently Kane is like the Uber driver of Nashville," Katelyn joked.
Morgan Wallen's album One Thing at a Time, which was released in March 2023, is back on top of the Billboard 200 albums chart for the 17th non-consecutive week. Adele's 21 holds the record for the most non-consecutive weeks at number one with 24. We'll see if Morgan can beat that record. He already made history when the album was released. It stayed at number one on the chart for 12 straight weeks. When One Thing at a Time hit 10 weeks at number one, Morgan became the first solo male artist to have consecutive projects spend their first 10 weeks at number one. His 2021 album Dangerous: The Double Album did that back in 2021.
The nominees for the 2024 People's Choice Awards were announced yesterday and several country artists appear on some of the all-genre lists. Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves "I Remember Everything" is up for Collaboration Song. The People's Choice Awards are scheduled for February 18th at 8pm on NBC.
Reportin' for Duty, which was originally supposed to be a one-time tribute to actor and comedian Leslie Jordan, is now becoming an annual tradition. The show will return this year as a benefit to raise money for the EB Research Partnership, a cause that Leslie supported. The nonprofit organization was co-founded by Pearl Jam guitarist Eddie Vedder and it funds research for Epidermolysis Bullosa - a life-threatening skin disease that affects Eddie's son, Eli. Jelly Roll, the War and Treaty, Eddie Vedder, Post Malone, Jake Wesley Rogers and Dan Spencer will all perform during the show, which will take place February 17th.
Just a few days after sharing that they are expecting their second child later this year, Jon and Summer Pardi have revealed that baby number two will be a girl. The couple shared the news in a video posted to social media. It shows Summer at a sonogram appointment with their 11-month-daughter Presley sitting on her tummy. The next clip shows the family digging into a pepperoni pizza. As they pull away their slices, they reveal two pink slips of paper underneath. "Jon said he knew it, I was definitely surprised," Summer wrote in the caption. The couple have not announced a due date for their second daughter.
Kane and Katelyn Brown are expecting a baby boy. The couple shared their gender reveal in a video on social media. Before they did the reveal, Kane guessed that the new baby would be another girl. They gathered their two daughters, Kingsley Rose and Kodi Jane, to help them dig into the cake. Blue frosting revealed that they have a baby boy on the way.
Maddie & Tae are planning to hit the road this spring for the Here's to Friends Tour. It's being described as a celebration of lifelong friendship. "This year's Here's to Friends Tour is really special because it marks 14 years of friendship and 10 years of touring the world together," the duo shared in a statement. "We started touring when we were just babies and now we've got little babies of our own! We are so ready to celebrate 10 years of touring with our fans who have grown up with us and continue to join us on this wild ride!" The 12-date-tour kicks off mid-March.
