Eric Church and Morgan Wallen have teamed up to relaunch Field & Stream, the outdoor lifestyle brand that dates back to 1871. In a new video on their social media, you see the two country stars showing their passion for the outdoors and storytelling. The relaunch includes an updated digital platform, a limited-edition apparel collection inspired by Eric and Morgan, and the announcement of an outdoor music festival coming this fall.
The Black Crowes will release their new album, Happiness Bastards, on March 15th. One of the tracks is a collaboration with Lainey Wilson, and it just happens to be the band's first-ever collaboration. Chris Robinson said that he met Lainey on the red carpet at the 2023 CMT Music Awards when they joined Darius Rucker for a performance of "She Talks to Angels." He said that Lainey "was such a sweetheart" who said she grew up listening to the Black Crowes. "We just had a little moment in between interviews and whatever...(Producer Jay Joyce) asked her and she just did it," Chris recalls. The track is called "Wilted Rose." Rumor has it that Lainey is working on her next studio album, but no details have been released.
James Barker Band will make their Grand Ole Opry debut on February 27th. They were excited to share the news with their fans on social media. "We are gonna be playing on the Grand Ole Opry February 27th," says James Barker in the video. "Greatest honour in country music. Biggest stage in country music. We're so honoured. Pack your bags and we'll see you there."
Elle King's upcoming show at Billy Bob's Texas has been postponed until September. No reason was given, but the news comes just days after her drunken performance at the Grand Ole Opry's Opry Goes Dolly show. She forgot the lyrics to Dolly Parton's "Marry Me" and told the audience she was "f--king hammered" while on stage. The Opry has apologized to fans, but Elle has yet to comment on what happened. The new concert date is set for September 21.

Chris Young was arrested on disorderly conduct charges Monday night in Nashville. He allegedly assaulted an agent of the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission. The incident began at Tin Roof. Agents entered the bar and Chris held his ID above his head. They scanned it and walked away, but Chris started asking questions and videoing them. The agents then went to the Dawg House bar, which is next door. WRKN-TV in Nashville is reporting that as agents tried to leave that bar, Chris "put his hands out to stop me from leaving the bar and struck me on the shoulder." That agent pushed Chris to "create distance" and an altercation started, with customers coming between them. A second agent tried to intervene, but Chris started walking backward and wouldn't comply with his orders. He was put in handcuffs and has been charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault of an officer. He was released Tuesday morning.

New video of the arrest captured on security cameras, published by People, shows a bit of a different story. In the footage, you see Chris waiting for the officers near the door, and as the agents walk past, he reaches out and touches one on the shoulder to get his attention. The agent then shoves Chris, who stumbles backward and into the corner of the bar, where he appears to fall to the ground.

Cody Johnson was performing on January 20th at the Honda Centre in Anaheim, California when he brought his show to a halt. Cody spotted a young fan in the front row who shared that she made it to his concert after just having survived a bone marrow transplant. The moment came just as he was about to start singing his hit song "Til' You Can't." Cody made his way to the edge of the stage where he put down his guitar, removed his hat and reached over the crowd to hug the young girl and give her his guitar pick. He had tears in his eyes as he worked his way back onto the stage. Cody stepped up to the mic and asked his fans to help him sing "Til' You Can't." At one point, he looked back at the girl to make sure she knew the song was for her. "You don't ever give up, you understand? Don't ever give up. Keep fighting strong," Cody said, pointing to her. It was such an emotional moment, that another concertgoer named Steve McFadin later revealed in an Instagram post that he took off his own cowboy hat, which had been autographed by Cody earlier, and gave it to the girl. He also said that at the end of the night, Cody Johnson went back to the fan and autographed the hat again. His drummer also gave the young girl one of his drumsticks.
Elle King was part of the Grand Ole Opry's Opry Goes Dolly show to celebrate Dolly Parton's 78th birthday on January 19th. Things went very wrong when she struggled with the lyrics for Dolly's 2001 song "Marry Me" before Elle admitted to the crowd that she'd had a little too much to drink backstage. In an expletive filled speech Elle jokingly asked the crowd not to let Dolly know how badly she was botching her song. Her backing vocalist jumped in at one point, making jokes about celebrating Dolly's birthday with the bottle, then suggested that Elle perform one of her own songs. Many fans were outraged and felt that her performance was disrespectful to Dolly, and because of the language she used, was a violation of the Opry's code of conduct, since it's a radio show. The Opry Goes Dolly show was actually held at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. The Opry replied with an apology to one of the posts they were tagged in. Neither Elle King or Dolly Parton have issued a statement about the performance.
Luke Combs has been added as performer to the lineup for the 2024 Grammy Awards. So far, he is the only country artist performing during the show. Luke made his debut at the Grammys 2023 when he sang "Going Going Gone." No details about this year's appearance have been announced yet. Luke is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for his cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car." The 2024 Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on February 4th.
