Hal Ketchum has died at the age of 67 after a battle with dementia.
His wife, Andrea, shared the news on Tuesday (Nov. 24) with an announcement on Facebook. Hal moved to Texas in 1981 and achieved success with his 1991 single "Small Town Saturday Night". He had his health battles over the years. In 1998, he was diagnosed with acute transverse myelitis, which left him without the use of the left side of his body and forced him to re-learn basic tasks. In April 2019, Andrea posted on Hal's official Facebook page that he was retiring from music because of his dementia. At that time, she revealed that he had been dealing with it for some time.
