I can hardly believe that it’s the first weekend of June, it feels like May flew by!
Now that we’re finally getting some sunshine, be sure to get out of the house this weekend and check out some of the amazing events happening out in KX Country!
My first stop Saturday will be the Halton Paramedic Day at 1179 Bronte Road in Oakville. From 10am until 3pm bring the whole family by to see demonstrations, tour emergency buildings or learn the basics of CPR. After that I’ll be at the Family Fun day in Brantford at 1 Sherwood Drive. From 10am until 3pm you can stop by this free event for games, face painting a BBQ and more.
Then I’ll be off to the 2nd Annual Paws for a Cause Event at Montgomery Park in Hamilton. Check out the vendor market, raffle table or some of the games for 10am until 4pm, with proceeds supporting Pantry for Paws. For my last stop of the day I’ll be hanging out at the Horse Rescue Ontario & Sanctuary Open House at 628 Ofield Road North in Dundas. From 9am until 4pm, swing by to meet the horses, watch a grooming demonstration or win an awesome raffle prize.
Sunday Morning will start off at the Walk to End Child Poverty at Bayfront Park in Hamilton. Registration starts up at noon with the walk starting at 1pm, followed by games and snacks. After that I’ll be at the Kite Festival in Burlington at the Brant Hills Community Centre. From noon until 4pm bring the kids by to build and fly some kites, check out the rock wall or grab a snack.
For my last stop of the weekend, I’ll be hanging out at the Country Family Fun Day Hosted by our own Melissa Forsyth at 115 Henry Street in Brantford. Stop by from 2pm until 6pm for live country music, games, delicious food and more with proceeds supporting the Crossing All Bridges Learning Program.
You can stop by these events anytime but if you stop by while I’m there, you can grab your KX 94.7 Winsticker and come say hi at the cruiser!
And as always don’t forget to post your own non-profit or charity event on our Events Page. I could bring the KX 94.7 Events Cruiser right to you!
Let’s have some fun in KX Country!
