Well it looks like the deep freeze is going to give us a bit of a break this weekend!
With some warmer temperatures on the way, it’s the perfect time to get out of the house and check out some of the fantastic events happening out in KX Country.
My first stop of the day is the Binbrook Hard Water Crappie Fishing Derby at the Binbrook Conservation Area! From 7am until 1pm, grab your fishing rods and see if you can catch the biggest fish. After that you can find me at the Seedy Saturday Event in Hamilton at 88 Macaulay Street East. From 10am until 3pm, swing by this free event for gardening demonstrations, workshops and the seed swap! Then I’ll be off to the Valentine’s Day Photo Shoot at 287 Dundas Street East in Waterdown. Bring your pet by from 11am until 3pm to have their picture taken, with proceeds supporting the Save Us Rescue! For my last stop of the day I’ll be hanging out at the Dundas Museum for their Art Show Opening Reception, which is going on until 3:30pm, with the museum open to explore until 4pm.
Sunday Morning will start off at the 37the Annual Winterfest at Gourley Park in Hamilton. From noon until 2pm, layer up and head on over for some winter games, sleigh rides, face painting and more! After that I’ll be at the Pier 8 Outdoor Skating Rink in Hamilton where you can skate for free until 10pm.
For my last stop of the weekend I’ll be hanging out at the Hamilton Victoria Curling Club for their Learning how to Curl event! From 3pm until 6pm, stop by and learn how to curl for free in exchange of a few non-perishable food items!
You can stop by these events anytime but if you stop by while I’m there, you can grab your KX 94.7 Winsticker and come say hi at the cruiser!
And as always don’t forget to post your own non-profit or charity event on our Events Page. I could bring the KX 94.7 Events Cruiser right to you!
Let’s have some fun in KX Country!
