Happy Family Day Long Weekend! If you’re still searching for something to do with your friends and family, look no further!

I’ve got some great events planned for this weekend, as I’ll be out in the cruiser on Saturday, Sunday and Family Day Monday.

Saturday morning will begin at the Valens Lake Conservation Area for their Ice Fishing Derby. Grab your fishing rods and fish from 7am until noon, with prizes being awarded for the biggest pan fish caught! After that I’ll be at the Blooms for Africa Book Exchange and Café at 170 Dundrun Street South in Hamilton. For twenty dollars you can bring a few books to exchange for new ones, check out some vendors and enjoy a delicious lunch from 10am until 2pm, with proceeds supporting the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

Then it’s off to the Terra Winter Market at Terra Greenhouses Hamilton. You can shop from a huge selection of vendors from 10am until 3pm, while staying warm inside of the beautiful greenhouse! For my last stop of the day I’ll be checking out some of the new exhibits over at the Joseph Brant Museum in Burlington.

My first stop Sunday will be the Mountsberg Conservation Area in Campbellville for their Family Day Weekend Event! From 10am until 4pm, they’ll have birds of prey demonstrations, games, hiking and so much more. After that I’ll be at the Morgan Firestone Arena in Ancaster for the Winterfest Free Skate, which is going on from 1pm until 3pm!

For my final stop of the day I’ll be making my way over to the Christie Lake Conservation Area to enjoy some of their hiking trails.

Family Day Monday will start off over at the Pancake Breakfast and Skate at the Carlisle Arena from 9am until 1pm! You can start off with a yummy pancake breakfast, followed by skating with proceeds supporting the ABC Cooperative Day Care. Then it’s off to the Dundas Museum and the Dundas Driving Park for their Inside/ Outside Family Day Festival. Ring your family by the museum fort games and crafts and afterwards head on over to the park for hot chocolate and skating!

Fort my last stop of the weekend I’ll be having a KX Winsticker Drive Thru at Bayfront Park in Hamilton.

You can stop by these events anytime but if you stop by while I’m there, you can grab your KX 94.7 Winsticker and come say hi at the cruiser!

And as always don’t forget to post your own non-profit or charity event on our Events Page.  I could bring the KX 94.7 Events Cruiser right to you!

Let’s have some fun in KX Country!

~ Mel
